What is the difference between a Registered Dental Assistant and a Certified Dental Assistant?
I think it's the same thing. It just depends on where you live. I'm a CDA and think of RDAs as being the same thing. Both have to take board exams to get their credentials. Both have the same knowledge and skills...I think it's just called something different in some places.
Reply:Certified Dental Assistants have taken the DANB national dental assisting board exam, Registered Dental Assistants are state-licensed, like dentists and hygienists.
