Could a regestered dental assistant work in california with same licence?

As far as I know, dental assistant licenses are state-by-state only. I'm in NJ, for instance, and a PA license is meaningless in NJ and vice versa. This does not mean that you can not get a JOB in the other state, but just that you are not certified to do expanded functions or whatever until you qualify in the new state.

Depends. Do you have license that is regional? Is it good for Cali? if not plan on taking more tests to get your license.
Reply:you can work in any state that you want, it's just differnt states let you perform less or more percedures by law. I recently switched states last year.
Reply:try looking it up at www.danb.org
