Registered dental assistant and dental assistant?
wellll... my momma is called a cdardh meaning she is a CERTIFIED dental asst, and a registered dental hygenist, meaning she took the test and is certified to do dental assting, others have graduated school and can preform the work just didnt take or pass the board test, the test is not relivant to how the hygenist preforms, just a way of showing they went farther in their carrer.

dental assistant is a person who when to a technical school and received a dental assistant certificate.
