I guess I don't understand the question. What state are you in? I'm a Certified Dental Assistant, but I don't yet have my expanded functions license. Here, and in most states, you can be registered (meaning you can only practice in that particular state), certified by DANB (meaning you can practice in any state) and/or have expanded functions training. Each state has their own laws regarding what an assistant can or can not do. However, I've never heard of a "level 2" dental assistant.
