Do dental assistant get well pay ?
I am from the New York area and I make 19 dollars an hour. I love my job as a dental assistant.
Reply:as if ur in a foreign country.. many people will have both dental, pshycological, etc problems.. so i think the job as a dental assistant will surely pay u a lot.... enjoy the job and work ya..
Reply:It's fun!...If you like people. They can get paid anywhere from 7 to like 20 something dollars...just depending on what kind of dentist you work for and also experience.
Reply:I am a dental assistant, and in this field it depends on how much experience you have. Try going to quite a few interviews before you pick which office you want to work at and do working interviews also, you will be able to see how well you work with the doctor and the rest of the staff. If you find a practice you like and stick with them, the doctor will give you a raise, once you show him the your skills that you can contribute to his office. I know a dental assistant who has worked with a dr for 20 yrs and is getting paid $25 an hour. Stick with it the dental field is a good field, look into dental hygiene also, they make twice the money an assistant makes ;) Good luck
Reply:I am a dental assistant in the Louisiana area. I am paid $13 an hour and I have worked for this dentist for 3 years, but I did have 4 year experience when I started. You will probably start at about $7 and once you get the experience you need and understand everything you have to do, you will begin to get more money. It may help to take a dental assistant class at a technical college.
Reply:well it depends if you get certified or registered you will make more money, If you have a cpr certification and an xray license you'll make more too. If you have the opportunity to go to school stick to it. There are other jobs that are rewarding and fun that pay better. If you like teeth consider dental hygiene they are one step up from dental assistants.

Assistant: 10-14 depending on where you live

Certified Assistant:16-20+depending on where you live

Hygiene-400 dollars a day depending on where you live

these are not exact but the pay will be somewhere around there depending on where you live
