How much do you get paid as a dental assistant per hour?
check www.salary.com.. it compares salaries and wages to the average a person should make in each category...

u sound like u have a LOT of experience..and i have a friend who's sister is a dental hygenist and she makes a LOT of money, doesn't even work every day!! keep researching!
Reply:i all depends where you work. ANd it depends a lot if you went to school or not. If you went to school then, it should be $11 to $16 but it all depends on your dentist also. Report It

Reply:It's the same here in California too. Good luck...Maybe go back to school and further your education. I hear hygienists do well and can make their own schedule..My girlfriend was in the same predicament. She changed professions.
Reply:Dental assistants typically start out a little better than minimum wage. If there is a dental placement agency in Denver, they would be able to tell you what the hourly range is for a starting assistant.

If you prove yourself to be a valuable addition to the team and if you improve your skills (start with spelling) you will likely be offered regular increases.

Are the other members of your team happy? How long have they been there? If it's a great place to work, team loyalty will be obvious with very little turnover.

However, if you already feel you are being "ripped off", chances are the relationship isn't starting out too well.
Reply:Believe me my friend, i am a qualified and registered Dental Nurse from the UK and my company are ripping me off big time, despite having years of experience and a recognized qualification they pay me less than £8 an hour!

Shocking i know and maybe should tell them to shove their job, but i really like the people i work with.
