How do i become dental assistant certified? i've worked as a dental assistant for 10 yrs.?
You can take the exam for either certified or registered since you have worked in the field so long. Look up medical dental assisting professional organizations. American Medical Technologists is one but I don't believe they do dental. Good luck.

You should already be certified
Reply:Certification is not automatic, as you know. Requirements vary by state and your state board of dentistry would have the answers for you. If there is a technical school near you, perhaps the dental assisting course director would be able to point you in the right direction.
